We chose Marcus to be the photographer at our wedding, which took place at Risley Hall in August 2004, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made! When we initially visited Marcus's studio we were extremely impressed by the selection of his photos that we saw. We were keen on having an album which contained a mix of formally posed photographs and impromptu photographs, which captured certain moments of our day, and we recognised that Marcus's photography would definitely meet out requirements. Having met other photographers who adopted the "hard sell" approach, Marcus's friendly and down-to-earth approach was really refreshing!
On the day itself, we can only say that it was a real pleasure working with Marcus and, contrary to what we thought prior to the event, actually enjoyed having our photographs taken. Before and after our service, Marcus mingled unobtrusively among our guests taking some wonderful photos. Whilst he took a lot of photographs throughout the day, he was sensitive to the fact that the photography doesn't dominate the wedding. Many of our guests commented that they enjoyed having their photograph taken and how well he fitted in to our wedding proceedings.
We are absolutely delighted with our wedding album and we actually found it incredibly hard to chose from the selection that Marcus took! Rather than the album being hidden away in the attic, like so many are, our remains in our living room; a testament to how much we still look at it! Many of our friends and family who have seen the album comment on how stunning the photographs are and how they perfectly re-tell the events of our special day. We may be bias, but we have yet to see another wedding album, which contains such a mix of original and creative photographs!
